One of the things I've started doing for the past 2 years is research artists responsible for character designs, visual arts, concept art from different media (animated shows, animated films, etc). One in particular, video games. Games such as Street Fighters, Samurai Showdown, Rival Schoolz, SNK's Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, 90s Japanese arcade games, and Sega Genesis games have always got my attention but never took the time to look into it until I started studying art.
In fact, it was

who really brought it to my attention when he was doing an artist study on Tetsuya Nomura, the artist of Final Fantasy. So that really made me seriously look into the artists behind a lot of video games.
I came across this site's page when I was looking up Senri Kita and Daigo Ikeno. I didn't know it had this but I wish I knew about it before.
Now this website is a collective database for all the fighting games ever existed. There once was a site like it back in the late 1990s called Siegfried's Fighter Mania, but Siegfried, as he is known, shut it down, and from what I've learned, is trying to bring it back (

There are 2 pages worth of goodness, profiling artists and listing a couple if not all the games they've worked on.
It's worth checking out.
Enjoy!
